A, An ,The के प्रयोग को article कहते है यह article का ही रूप होता है इसे determines तथा word fixer के नाम से भी जाना जाता है |
Note: article a या an का प्रयोग singular countable noun (scn) के पहले किया जाता है
Article के प्रकार
article दो प्रकार से use किया जाता है
- Indefenite Article (a/an/one)
- Definite Article (The)
example :
- He is a boy.
- There shall come a day when everyone shall be rich.
- He is the boy who my heart.
A/An ± SCN
स्वर – An (अ ,आ ,ई —- ex An hour
व्यंजन – A (क ,ख, ग ,—– ex A university
Definite Article (The)
Rule No.(1)
कुछ शब्द ऐसे होते हैं यदि उनके पहले The का प्रयोग किया जाए तो उनका प्राथमिक कार्य बदल जाता है
example; School, college, University, Jail, Temple, Mosque, church, Hospital,Market.
As: Rohit went to the hospital to see his sick friend.
Rule No (2)
कोई भी Singular countable Nan जब वाक्य में पहली बार प्रयोग किया जाता है तो उसके पहले a/an का प्रयोग करते है लेकिन वही SCN यदि वाक्य में दोबारा प्रयोग है तो उस noun के पहले the का प्रयोग किया जाता है
Ex = I have a bag and the bag is new.
Once upon a time there was a king.The king had a doughter. A king in the neighborhood wanted to marry the Princess.
Rule No. (3)
जब किसी Common Noun का प्रयोग Abstract Noun की तरह किया जाय
किया जाए तब उस Noun के पहले the का प्रयोग करते है
Ex = The Student in me is still alive.
The Mother in her is dead.
Rule No (4)
Before the language to signify nationality किसी भी भाषा के नाम के पहले The का प्रयोग करने से उस भाषा को बोलने वाले लोगो का बोध होता है |

Rule No (5)
किसी भी proper noun के पहले the का प्रयोग करने से किसी दुसरे व्यक्ति की तरह बताया जाता है
ex: mohit is the sachin tendulkar of our team.
